The music of Jerome Rico and Kevin filled the HCF Gilmore Hall last Feb 22, 2009. Both were very gifted artist/instrumentalists and were invited through the initiative of Sis. Meann Ilustre, who first saw them perform at another church venue in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. The event was designed as break from the monthly Artalk.
True enough the two artists did not fail to meet what was expected of them. They wowed the crowd that night. Sis. Virgie even tested Jerome’s skills by requesting a song which was out of his repertoire, Wind beneath My Wings by B. Midler, which he was able to play skillfully from memory.
Also played as front act where HCF’s homegrown Mike and Nico. In a few years, they may match up to the skills of Jerome and Kevin. Ptr. Raul closed the night in a short “Jazztalk.” How our lives is sometimes like “Jazz,” sometimes unruly but can be made into good music under the hands of God who is the creator of music.
